What’s up with all the gambling?
People are lining up at food bank distributions. Some can’t pay their rent, mortgage or utilities. Some can’t afford gifts for their kids, yet at least 20 times a day I see commercials for some type of gambling on TV.
Gambling always takes advantage of people. But during this COVID-19 crisis, I think it’s appalling for gambling establishments to entice people, who are in desperate economic situations, to spend much-needed money on gambling.
The Pennsylvania Lottery is just as bad as online gambling, along with casinos and the greedy TV advertisers.
