EastEnders actors earn a fair whack for starring on the much-loved soap, but it turns out one star has made an absolute killing outside of Albert Square too.
Old school fans will remember Michael Greco, who played goatee-bearded heart-throb Beppe Di Marco on the show between 1998 and 2002.
But even some die hard EastEnders addicts will be surprised to hear about the actor’s money-making methods off-screen…

It turns out that, aside from acting, Greco is a keen poker player.
So keen, in fact, that according to Poker-in.com, he has earned more than $1,114,297.00 in his career with poker tournaments alone.
And that’s cash games excluded – so he’s probably made even more than that!
The actor’s participation in 54 poker tournaments makes him the number 112 poker player in England, according to the website.
And from Grand Challenge tournaments in Vegas to Poker Circuits here in London – Greco has certainly had his fair share of 1st place wins. One time, he won $248,855.00 in a single poker tournament alone.
While acting is Greco’s first love, it seems he gets no bigger rush than when he’s playing the game.
He told Poker News : “I’ve been on stage in front of thousands of people in London in the play Chicago in the West End in front of thousands of people singing with first night nerves. The adrenaline that runs through your body, there’s no comparison other than when I’ve been at a poker table.”
Greco’s gambling seems to have paid off so far, but you can never anticipate which way it’s going to go.
But if we see him back in Walford, that is when we’ll know!
